December 9th.

The girl wanted snow, the girl got snow....
And it was of course time to go home.

December 8th.

The amazing view from the cabin.

This was an eventeful day, we went for a long walk up the hills behind the cabin. We went sliding on the snow and baked gingerbread cookies.

December 7th.

We went to my sister and Kenneth's cabin, the driving contitions were horrible on our way up there. Fog, slippery roads and as dark as it is possible to get. But because of my EXELLENT driving skills we of course made it without any trouble and arrived 25 min before my mum and dad. (we left home at the same time) And I did not go over the speed limit, so I guess that says more about my dad's driving then about mine. ;)

When we got up there my dad was very busy and concentraded hard on Emil's puzzle game. All alone I might add.. And as shown on the photo, my mom was her usual self.

December 5th.

It's the 5th of December and not much sign of winter... The days are long and dark...

December 4th.

Even though it's not much snow, we still managed to have a lot of fun sliding on it!

I had my first course night at the hunting licence course and after that we went to Kristiansand to the christmas concert Silent night, Holy night. And it was a great concert.

December 3rd.

Today Emil have baked gingerbread cookies at grandma's. A whole box full!

And me and Emil have been out shopping christmas gifts for uncle Kenneth, auntie Camilla and Malin. Can't write whan we got them though. ;)

It has been a long day and the winter is making us more tired than we are in the summer, so it's nice to snuggle on the sofa. Looking at Super Christmas kid's show.

It is a rainy December day, so we decided to do some baking. And later on we could watch cartoons eating fresh baked buns and drink hot chocolate. :)

December 1st.

The first of December and Emil's calendar is up. It was an exited little boy that found all those gifts when he got up in the morning. The rest of the living room was also decorated for christmas.

Cute woolen vests

Two cute vests knitted in a silk/wool yarn. DUO from DesignclubDK.
The pattern for the one on the top is from DesignclubDK.
Pattern for the one on the bottom is from nsull.

Setesdalskofte

A traditional Norwegian sweater, knitted in Sandnes Sisu. Size 9 months.

Hat and mittens.

A very nice pattern from Dale's babypatterns. This is pattern nr.9 from book nr.162

Hat and boots for premature babies.

I love knitting small items and could not resist knitting the smallest hat in a pattern for preemies i bought.

And the boots also very cute, but the hat is my favourite.
A great way to find a use for all those left overs. Knit some premature items and send them to the local hospital, newborn ward. Always greatly appreciated.

Mittens & boots

Mittens knitted in Hubro from Dale,
and funny boots knitted in Garnstudios Alpaca.

Baby hats.

Some baby hats. Knitted in Sandnes Lanett, and Dale's Baby Wool.

Childrens shawl.

Tried to reduce my yarn stock, but for some reason when I decide to do so I always choose the thinnest types of yarn. This is a childrens shawl.

Felted sitting sheet and caliometry.

Wanted to see how Garnstudio's Eskimo yarn turned out when felted so I knitted a sitting sheet for kids. Not too fond of the colour though. And used a left over from an Opal skein to try the caliometry pattern. Not too keen on multi coloured yarn but this was a left over from a pair of socks i knitted for a little girl.

Baby supporter suit.

I was in the experimental mood an designed this suit for the small football fans. Of course in the colours of the local team. Didn't write down the pattern though..
Size: 6 months.

Royal play carpet.

This felted play carpet/sleeping bag is knitted in Sandnes Fritidsgarn, and Sandnes Funny with a golden thread on the edge. When it's buttoned together in the edges of the bottom and half way up the middle it can be used as a sleeping bag, and when you unbutton it and fold it out you get a cozy play carpet. Pattern from Sandnes Theme book nr.11 pattern nr.15. The crown is my own design.

Zig zag afghan.

This is knitted i triple thread of Gjestal baby's wool. Pattern can be found at http://www.garnstudio.com/

Pink zig zag afghan.

This afghan is knitted with a double thread of Gjestal baby's wool. The pattern can be found at http://www.garnstudio.com/

Baby's afghan in Alpaca.

Baby's afgan in the super soft Alpaca wool, with Eskimo 100% wool on the edges. Both yarns from Garnstudio. 120 stitches on needles 5.5 (norwegian size) 4 skeins of alpaca, one skein for the edging. Pattern from Garnstudio.no
